Fishing rules 2023

  1. The fishing season applies from 01.07. at: 00:00 – 31.07. at: 24:00.
    During this period, fishing for salmon, sea trout and trout is permitted. 
  2. Daily quota per fish is 1 salmon. All wild salmon caught above Brufossen (Fossekulpen - Øverfossen) must be released again.
  3. The fishing day applies from kl. 18:00 to: 18:00. 
  4. The fishing rules also apply at the outlet of the river to the boundary determined in a line from the stream outlet at Yttergård to the northernmost point at Manndalsklubben. The points are marked with signs. Boundary point (UTM) DB 097855 and DB 084888. 
  5. It is not allowed to use a fly and sink. Only one fly is allowed. 
  6. Minimum size is 30 cm. 
  7. Youth below the age of 16 can register a free season ticket with free daypasses 
  8. Licensees must have a landowner's card and can fish for free on their own farm-/property number by registering a season ticket for landowners. Day passes for each tour are registered for free at manndalen.com. 
  9. Fishing is not permitted from Wednesday at 18:00 to Thursday at 18:00, and Sunday from 06:00 to 18:00. 
  10. A valid season ticket and day pass must be registered at manndalen.com before starting fishing, and identification must be carried while fishing. All details about season tickets, daily passes and catch reports can be found by logging into the association's website and visiting "my page". 
  11. Fishing equipment and other equipment that has been in contact with water in other waterways must be disinfected. Receipt must be brought with you when fishing. Disinfection is carried out at Best in Manndalen. Rolling/moving fishing must be practiced from above and down on the fishing ground. 
  12. There is an obligation to submit a catch report following each registered day pass. Reporting is done electronically from the fisherman's account at manndalen.com, from the form that follows when registering a daily pass.

    Rules for reports following a day pass: upon expiry of the 24-hour pass, at least one catch report per registered 24-hour pass. If there is no catch report, you may be refused fishing for the next season
  13. Violation of applicable rules, laws and regulations may result in notification and confiscation of fishing licenses and fishing gear. Valid documentation must be presented on request by rights holders, supervisors or the police. 
  14. Show respect! Take care of the environment! Drive carefully through the forest! Do destroy fences! Garbage is brought back! 
  15. Conservation zones at Øverfossen and Fossekulpen (Notkulpen) are marked with signs. See map at manndalen.com.
